My astrobiology interests lie at the interface between gravitation, planetary properties and climate. I am particularly interested in how habitability is influenced by planetary system architecture and orbital properties. My work explores solar system analogues, theoretical ideas and exoplanet systems, and aims to achieve a deeper understanding of the factors influencing habitability on Earth-like planets.

I am a physicist and mathematical modeller. I received a BSc(Hons) from UWA in physics and mathematics in 2004, and a PhD in gravitation in 2010 from Yale University. I have since worked at UNSW on HIV modelling and climate from 2011 to 2013, and am currently an OCE postdoctoral fellow at CSIRO working on biodiversity in the context of future and past climate.
